We are pleased to introduce our first entry-level table utilizing the unique dual-plinth technology originated by music hall. The mmf-3.3se embodies the culmination of over 30 years of research, development, and most important of all, listening. The 3-speed belt driven table was developed for those seeking a perfectly matched set of features with an uncompromising focus on sound performance. The 3.3se is constructed using high quality components and comes complete with a tonearm, cartridge mounted, and dust cover.

Speed control

The 3.3se has a built-in electronic speed control for 33/45/and 78.  The platter speed switches from 33 to 45 rpm at the touch of a button. 78 rpm requires the movement of the belt to a different location on the motor pulley, and the use of a different belt, included with the turntable.

Carbon fiber arm with bonded alloy headshell

This tonearm is unique to music hall.  Bonding the alloy headshell to the carbon arm-tube stiffens and dampens the carbon fiber tube.  This construction significantly improves the sound and performance over similar looking one-piece carbon arms.  The alloy headshell allows you to securely mount the cartridge to the tonearm without the twist and flex that is common in lesser one-piece carbon arms.  Tonearms should not twist/flex as this negatively impacts the cartridge and tonearm’s ability to properly track the record groove. On many one-piece carbon tonearms, you can literally pinch the cartridge end of arm between your thumb and forefinger and twist/flex the arm-tube.  Try this with the music hall and the tonearm remains rigid as your fingers begin to ache.

The arm itself is housed in a 4-point gimbal bearing construction using Swiss ABEC bearings.  This is superior to many of music hall’s competitors who use a lesser 2-point bearing system.

Feature list:

  • exquisite walnut veneer finish
  • Music Hall’s unique dual-plinth design – isolating the electronics and motor from the main bearing and tonearm

  • Counterweight’s center of gravity is level with the stylus tip is decoupled from the arm and acts as a resonance damper

  • The cartridge supplied is properly aligned and mounted

Just What I Needed for My Home Office
    Color: Black
I’ve been very happy with this office chair. It was straightforward to assemble, feels sturdy, and offers excellent support for long hours at my desk. The adjustable lumbar support, armrests, and headrest make it easy to customize for a comfortable fit, and the mesh design helps keep the chair breathable throughout the day. Overall, this chair is comfortable, ergonomic, and a great value for a home office setup.

    OK for basic Office chair
    Color: Black
Positives:Comfortable chair, decent lumbar support. Negatives: no height adjustment for seat or tilt. Handles spin to sides with the slightest touch. Will try to figure out how to securehandles in place. Period good entry level office chair, should have ordered more of an upgraded chair.

    Great daily chair
    Color: Black, Color: Black
This is a great chair and very comfortable. I'm hard on fabrics and the material is excellent for me. I didn't think I would like the headrest (because I've never had one), however, I enjoy it's use at times. The wheels roll very easily and the seat height is perfect. The seat is easy to keep clean. I've had this chair for 3 months with daily use and it looks brand new. I would buy this chair again.

    Cheaply made but functional
    Color: Black
Pros: The headrest is highly adjustable. Even if you're tall you'll likely be able to tilt it so that you can rest your head on it while reclining. The instructions for putting it together are easy to follow. It's perfectly serviceable as a desk chair with no glaring defects. The mesh material keeps your body cool and dry even when sitting in it all day. Cons It's obviously very lightweight and cheaply made. This does make the chair easier to move, but this doesn't really feel like a $180 chair at all. More like a $120 or even $100 chair. The chair back is attached to the chair seat by a plastic bracket. Nearly every desk chair I've had in the past has had their back attached to the bottom with a metal bracket, and even those start to bend out of shape after a year or so. While reclining a good portion of your weight will be resting on this plastic bracket, and I simply cannot see this cheap plastic lasting for very long supporting anyone's body weight over a long period of time. If you buy this chair, make sure to get the warranty. The armrests are closer together than on most chairs, which creates a claustrophobic feeling of being squeezed by them. You get used to it eventually, and you can just put the armrests up if you want to, but a way to adjust the armrest width would have been nice. The lumbar support doesn't really do anything at all. It only presses against my back at the most intense setting, and even then not very much. There is no incremental recline setting. Either you are fully reclined, or sitting fully upright. Luckily the full recline setting is about perfect for me, but for a $180 chair you'd expect a bit more settings here.
