DonJoy OA Lite Osteoarthritis Knee Brace

The DonJoy OA Lite is a premier clinical orthosis engineered specifically for patients suffering from mild-to-moderate unicompartmental osteoarthritis. By utilizing a patented 3-point load system within a single-upright framework, this brace creates a Zero-Friction environment for the joint. The OA Lite effectively shifts painful compressive loads away from the damaged medial compartment, providing the mechanical "unloading" necessary to reduce bone-on-bone friction. Constructed from breathable, lightweight Floam™ material, this low-profile brace is designed to be worn comfortably under clothing, making it the ideal solution for active patients who want to maintain their mobility without the bulk of traditional rigid braces.

Clinical Features & Patient Benefits

  • 3-Point Load Offloading: Features a mechanical leverage system that provides "Zero-Friction" relief by shifting pressure away from the affected joint compartment.
  • Single Upright Design: A low-profile, "Zero-Friction" framework that reduces bulk and prevents the brace from rubbing against the opposite leg during ambulation.
  • Floam™ Breathable Material: Utilizes a specialized, lightweight fabric that facilitates "Zero-Friction" moisture management and anatomical contouring for all-day comfort.
  • Pre-Set 10° Valgus/Varus Correction: Specifically engineered to provide a constant "Zero-Friction" corrective force, improving joint alignment and reducing inflammatory pain.

The Clinical Authority: Why Professionals Trust the OA Lite

Orthopedic specialists and Rheumatologists specify the DonJoy OA Lite for its exceptional "patient compliance." Its "Zero-Friction" environment is the gold standard for treating medial compartment OA in patients who find rigid, dual-upright braces too restrictive. By providing a targeted mechanical shift in the joint’s loading axis, the brace reduces the physiological stress on the articular cartilage. This targeted approach is highly effective for delaying the need for invasive surgical intervention and allowing patients to return to low-impact activities like walking, golf, and gardening with significantly less pain.

FAQ: Arthritis Relief & Daily Use

Will this fit under my jeans?
Yes. The "Zero-Friction" low-profile design is specifically engineered to be the most discreet offloader on the market, fitting easily under most standard clothing.

Is it hard to put on?
No. The "Zero-Friction" wraparound thigh and calf straps allow for easy application and adjustment, even for patients with limited hand dexterity.

Does it fit either leg?
No. To ensure the "Zero-Friction" offloading force is applied to the correct compartment, you must specify the Left or Right leg and whether the pain is on the Inner (Medial) or Outer (Lateral) side.

Specifications & Sizing Table

Selection is based on the circumference of the thigh, measured 6" (15cm) above the mid-patella. Measure carefully for an optimal "Zero-Friction" clinical fit:

Size Thigh Circumference (inches)
X-Small 13" – 15.5"
Small 15.5" – 18.5"
Medium 18.5" – 21"
Large 21" – 23.5"
X-Large 23.5" – 26.5"
XX-Large 26.5" – 29.5"
XXX-Large 29.5" – 32"

From Pixels to Problems! Great read!
Format: Hardcover
“Play Nice” offers an enjoyable deep dive into the tumultuous history of Blizzard Entertainment, chronicling its journey from a ragtag group of brilliant college students to its evolution under corporate ownership and its current state. Schreier provides fascinating insights into the antics of Blizzard’s early employees, showcasing their outlandish attitudes, relentless work ethic, and tight-knit camaraderie. The book explores how Blizzard transitioned from a company renowned for producing high-quality, polished games that left competitors in the dust to one struggling to preserve its heart and soul amid mounting corporate pressures. While the corporate side and C-suite executives are often cast in a negative light, Schreier thoughtfully examines the motivations behind their decisions, offering perspectives from all levels of the company—from executives and middle management to QA testers. This balanced approach provides a refreshing take, avoiding oversimplified blame and instead considering multiple sides of the story. And while it’s easy to villainize the suits in the boardroom, Schreier does a great job showing why some decisions were made. From executives to QA testers, he pulls back the curtain to reveal a mess of perspectives, reminding us that every bad decision has some kind of reason behind it (even if it’s still a bad decision). The book also revisits the scandals that put some serious smudges on Blizzard’s reputation, offering new angles and fresh commentary. As someone who once lived for Blizzard games—cheering at Overwatch League matches and losing entire weekends to Diablo marathons—I can’t help but root for Blizzard to find its way back to glory. And hey, if it means waiting another decade for their next masterpiece, so be it. It’s done when it’s done.

Great insight into an otherwise obscure world
Format: Hardcover
As someone who grew up playing blizzard's games for an unfathomable amount of hours I've always been interested into their inner workings, especially considering their downfall in recent years. This book holds a ton of information and knowledge, is well sourced, and is the work of someone with obvious deep familiarity with the industry and its particularities. Besides the information itself, the book it written in fun and interesting prose, and it keeps the rhythm fast and entertaining, so it reads more like a novel than a journalistic article. Overall, an entertaining piece of insight into a world that is normally quite unknown, even to long time gamers like myself.

Great insight on what happened at Blizzard but...
Format: Kindle
My main issue with the book is the lack of non-american stories that explained the bigger picture. As a former Blizzard dev, there's much more than what happened in Irvine and Korea, with Europe's office mentioned almost as a footnote, and nothing else from the other regional stories. Shame but I guess the book would've been double the size.
