In demanding industrial environments, you need a network bridge that is reliable, simple to deploy, and capable of extending your copper Ethernet reach over fiber without added complexity. The Tripp Lite by Eaton Unmanaged Industrial Gigabit Fiber to Ethernet Media Converter is designed for exactly that purpose. It delivers a rugged, plug-and-play solution that converts a copper Gigabit Ethernet signal to fiber and back, enabling seamless connections between switches, controllers, servers, and field devices across campuses, manufacturing floors, or remote sites. With an adaptable SFP port that supports both singlemode and multimode fiber, you can tailor your deployment to the exact distance and fiber type required—without compromising performance or ease of use. Built to withstand harsh industrial conditions and backed by a reputation for durable, time-tested networking hardware, this media converter helps you future-proof your network while minimizing downtime and maintenance costs.

  • Flexible SFP Port for Fiber Extension: The customizable SFP port accepts a variety of transceivers, enabling both singlemode and multimode fiber configurations. This flexibility lets you choose the right fiber type and distance for your site—from short-runs within a building to long-haul links between facilities. With this design, you can adapt to evolving network topologies without replacing the entire device, simply swap in an appropriate SFP module as your needs change.
  • Copper-to-Fiber Conversion at Gigabit Speeds: Supporting 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet, the media converter preserves native network performance across the link. It bridges a copper RJ45 Ethernet segment to a fiber segment, making it ideal for connecting legacy devices to modern fiber backbones or extending high-speed networks to remote equipment. The unmanaged operation ensures a straightforward, consistent data path—reducing latency and ensuring predictable throughput for real-time applications such as PLCs, SCADA, and data acquisition systems.
  • Rugged Industrial Design with Wide Temperature Range: Engineered for harsh environments, this unit operates from -40°C to 75°C, resisting the temperature swings and vibrations common on factory floors, outdoor enclosures, or utility sites. The solid metal housing aids in heat dissipation and durability, while the fanless design minimizes maintenance and noise in quiet control rooms or mounted cabinets. Its robust construction helps maintain link reliability in challenging conditions where consumer-grade devices would fail.
  • Plug-and-Play, Unmanaged Operation: No complex configuration, IP addressing, or management software is required. After installation, the device auto-negotiates speed on the RJ45 side and passes traffic through to the fiber link via the SFP transceiver. This makes it perfect for quick deployments, temporary projects, or networks with a mix of devices from different vendors. The unmanaged design also reduces the storm of support tickets that can arise from misconfigured equipment in distributed environments.
  • Government-Grade Compliance and Compact Form Factor: With TAA compliance, this media converter is suitable for federal, state, and local procurement as well as enterprise deployments. Its compact, rack-friendly footprint makes it easy to mount in equipment cabinets, on wall rails, or in industrial enclosures, delivering a low-profile, reliable bridge between copper and fiber networks without consuming valuable space.

Technical Details of Tripp Lite by Eaton Unmanaged Industrial Gigabit Fiber to Ethernet Media Converter

  • Interfaces: 1 x RJ45 Ethernet port; 1 x SFP fiber slot for plug-in transceiver (compatibility depends on installed SFP module).
  • Data rate: 10/100/1000 Mbps capable on the copper link; fiber link performance determined by the installed SFP and fiber type.
  • Fiber compatibility: SFP port supports both singlemode and multimode transceivers; ensure the chosen SFP matches the fiber type and distance requirements.
  • Operating temperature: -40°C to 75°C for reliable operation in extreme environments.
  • Power: DC power input; exact voltage and current requirements are not specified in the available details.
  • Compliance: TAA (Trade Agreements Act) compliant for government procurement.
  • Housing: Industrial-grade, fanless design for durable operation in cabinets, enclosures, or remote installations.

How to install Tripp Lite by Eaton Unmanaged Industrial Gigabit Fiber to Ethernet Media Converter

  • Identify the appropriate SFP transceiver for your fiber link (singlemode or multimode) and insert it into the SFP slot on the converter.
  • Connect the RJ45 Ethernet port to the source network device (switch, router, or NIC) using a standard CAT5e/6 cable, ensuring a secure connection.
  • Attach the fiber optic cable to the installed SFP transceiver and to the remote device’s SFP port, observing correct connector type (for example LC) and proper polarity.
  • Connect the unit to a stable DC power supply. Verify that the power indicator is lit, and monitor the link indicators on both sides to confirm the copper and fiber links are active.
  • Mount the converter in an appropriate enclosure or rack space, verify network path integrity, and begin data transmission. Because this is an unmanaged device, no configuration is required beyond the physical connections.

Simplicity
Color: Black/Orange
This watch was received exactly as advertised. First off the watch is economical compared to other watches that advertise the same details. I will say that I have gone through numerous Luminox watches only to be disappointed. This watch fits the bill. It does have solar cells which mean it needs to be exposed to light to keep running, not a problem. Three minutes under my surefire light I am golden. The bezel doesn't rotate actually no big deal for me. I have always required that the bezel moves not anymore after having a bezel that rotates I use it next to never. Here's why, the more I rotate the bezel the more the numbers wear off. The strap on the watch with the catches for the strap are perfect. They actually hold the watch strap in place in lieu of like other big name brands that just flop and slide. As far as everyday use goes this watch is my go to. To be honest I have purchased three. This is the only watch I will wear moving forward, yeah the glass my scratch but even the big names like the Luminox I spoke of earlier scratches too.

Love this Dress Shirt
These are my favorite white dress shirts. Unfortunately, not always in stock. Hard to find. Fits comfortably. Easy to wash and almost wrinkle free after each wash. I barely have to iron them. Fabric is thick, not transparent at all but still breathable. Price you pay was set perfectly according to the quality of the fabric.

Dressy Shirt, Casual Price
This slim fit Van Heusen has a fair price, but the feel of a fancy shirt. It's lightweight and has a bit of a glossy sheen. Despite all the negative reviews about the cut being too bulky in the middle, this fits me to a T. I'm pretty slim -- at 6' 140# -- and, while slightly generous in shoulder width and sleeve length, the shirt tapers at the waist very nicely. If tail length is the problem, SHIRT STAYS are a cheap, simple solution. Some reviews also complained about wrinkles. Well, DRY CLEAN -- because yeah, if you're tossing a cotton/poly shirt into a washer and dryer, it will get wrinkly. I pressed the shirt off using an IRON without any problem. In fact, this shirt seemed easier to press than others. Great shirt. Good deal.

Stain Shield Works, But Not Really a Slim Fit Shirt
Good quality for the price. Impressed with the stain shield which actually prevents sweat/wetness from showing... even in extreme heat. No joke. But this is not a slim fit shirt in my opinion. Too much material at the waist with not a lot of length to be able to assist in tucking it all in. Also, I imagine it's the stain shield, but there is definitely a chemical smell to the shirt that survived a few washings. If you're sensitive to that smell, it could be an issue.

Beautiful shirt!
I bought this along with Calvin Klein gingham tie in blue and although different brands they matched perfectly. I bought these for my 22year old son who doesn’t like to buy clothes except tee shirts. Also got Dockers navy pants for him to wear to funeral. He looked great in all of it and he can wear to other dressy events and look sharp. He was also very happy with the fit and look. Amazon delivery was speedy before we left town! Thank you.
